The emergence of new generative AI tools is taking the world by storm. From marketing and health to retail and transportation, industries across the board are grappling with the transformative power of AI.
Content writing is one of the earliest industries that started using AI when we saw the spell checker feature in PCs for the first time. Today, we have robust AI writers that could generate all sort of content in seconds. WordHero is one of them.
A few months ago, I decided to test WordHero to see how it can help me with my with my content creation needs. I thoroughly tested this tool to create a variety of content assets: emails, ads, blogs, descriptions, to name a few.
Today, I am going to share my experience with WordHero. The objective is to help you find out whether or not this tool is ideal for your needs. In this post, I’ll talk about everything you need to know about WordHero, and whether or not you should choose to add it to your toolkit.
As the name suggests, WordHero is an AI writing assistant designed for writers, marketers, and business owners. It literally takes a few seconds to generate different forms of content: blogs, emails, social media posts, product descriptions, and a lot more in just one click.
Isn’t it amazing to have a tool to create a long-form blog post for your business in seconds? WordHero utilizes the power of OpenAI's GPT-3, an advanced language model with 175 billion parameters, to save you time and effort on research and writing.
With WordHero, you have more than 60 writing tools at your disposal. They sort these tools into 5 broad categories:
There are other popular AI writing tools out there. Why WordHero? Why should you invest in WordHero and not other popular AI tools like Jasper? Let’s take a quick look at the pros and cons to answer these questions.
AI tools are smart. Aren’t they? But they do come with unique strengths and weaknesses. WordHero isn’t an exception. Let me enlist some of the notable pros and cons of WordHero to make things easier for you:
Now let me test this tool to further explain major advantages and disadvantages of WordHero.
In my opinion, the best thing about this AI writing tool is that it helps you save time and effort. For example, you’re a small business owner and you want to create one long-form blog. How much time do you think you would spend considering the research and writing process?
As a marketer who writes a lot, it takes me around 6-8 hours to produce an in-depth, valuable blog post. Now, what if you can do the same in less than 10 minutes?
For example, I asked WordHero to create a press release and it only took it a few seconds to generate it:
Of course, your content is less likely to be human. However, you can get the job done without spending hours on research and writing.
So, the major pro of this tool is instant content creation. Another amazing thing about this AI tool is its multiple templates. You name a type of content and they’re likely to have a template for it.
From poems and video scripts to slogans and lead magnets, you’ll get everything your need for your business.
Now, if we talk about a major drawback of this tool, it is that it doesn’t have a one-click process to generate something.
There are AI writing tools out there that let you create a content asset in just one click. You give them a prompt or an outline and they just generate content without any further assistance.
For instance, if I want to create a blog, I come across different parts of the blog development process:
I would personally like to have a tool that could help me create everything within one template or just insert my outline.
This could be a pro for many bloggers out there who want to spend more time with an AI writer. However, people nowadays like to get things done as quickly and efficiently as possible.
And this is what artificial intelligence is going to do with consumer psychology: we want to get our marketing or business processes done with one magic command.
Another prominent thing that I don’t like about WordHero is repetitive, unnecessary content when creating long-form content. I face this problem with almost every AI writer I tested so far.
However, the content WordHero generates is likely to be detected as AI content. And this makes sense to me. But I would like to see an AI writer writing content just like a human does.
Let’s do a quick demo! I created copy for an FAQ:
Now, when I tested this content to see how human it is, I got the following results:
Since AI writing tools are growing in popularity, an increasing number of readers will be able to tell whether or not a specific piece of content is human or robotic.
I am sure these tools will get better and better at producing accurate, human-like content. But it will take some time. Meanwhile, you still need to thoroughly edit AI content no matter what tools you choose to work with.
WordHero is surely a comprehensive platform that has so much to offer. Let me highlight 5 groups of people who can take advantage of this tool:
If you’re an entrepreneur, you likely have too much on your plate. Having a virtual assistant that could take care of your content creation needs, that would be a lifesaver. Here is what WordHero can create for entrepreneurs:
You can also create marketing-related content if you’re a startup or can’t afford to hire writers and marketers for your business.
WordHero is a treasure for SEO specialists and content writers. Both professionals need to generate tons of content on a regular basis.
For example, SEO professionals need a variety of content to help their clients rank on top of SERPs. WordHero can help them mass-produce content.
You don’t have to spend hours researching content ideas. WordHero can do all the heavy lifting while you focus more on planning, strategy, and analytics.
All you have to do is make small edits and tweaks to make your AI-generated content more relevant and human. Here are some templates that are relevant to SEO and content writers:
They usually need to create a lot of copy for ads, social media, emails, lead magnets, etc. In a competitive environment, they can’t afford to spend plenty of time on content creation.
So, WordHero can be a marketer's best friend. They can create whatever they need in seconds. Not to mention, as a marketer, you can brainstorm campaigns.
For instance, WordHero enables you to create converting copy for your ads, cold emails for different campaigns, and so on.
An increasing number of agencies are using AI to streamline their workflow and boost productivity. Generative AI makes things surprisingly easier and smooth for writers, designers, SEO experts, and other team members.
From brainstorming and creating storyboards to producing content at scale, WordHero can be a great tool for agencies, especially marketing and SEO agencies that have to create a lot of content on a regular basis.
So, instead of overburdening employees, agency managers can improve their productivity with smart AI tools. Agencies usually need to produce a variety of content in large quantities. WordHero gives you the power to deliver work at warp speed.
WordHero is a helpful tool for students as well. However, I don’t think students should rely on AI writers when it comes to completing their assignments.
AI-powered tools help students come up with unique ideas. However, when it comes to writing academic work, students should use WordsHero to a limited extent.
Also, if you’re a student, you may consider using an AI writer that is designed for students; for example, PerfectEssayWriter.
As a beginner, you might feel overwhelmed when using WordHero. I also spent at least 30 minutes wrapping my head around how this tool really works. Let me show you in 3 simple steps how you can use WordHero with great ease and speed:
First up, you need to select a template that best suits your content needs. You can see all the templates on the home page along with a search bar that helps you find a relevant template quickly.
WordHero offers a wide range of templates for various purposes, including blog articles, social media posts, emails, and more. Each template is carefully designed to provide structure and guidance for your content creation journey.
So, just pick one template. Let’s pick “Product Description”!
The next step is to tell WordHero something about the product. Regardless of the content type you want to generate, try to be as specific with your prompt as possible.
Make sure to add the tone to get better output. Here is how I inserted data to write content for a product description:
When I hit the blue “Write For Me” button, WordHero gave me 3 variations.
Now I can pick the one that sounds more relevant and interesting. All you have to do is copy the content and use it wherever you want. I picked the last one. Let me paste it here:
“Introducing Pro Fit Earbuds: experience superior sound quality without sacrificing comfort. Our wireless earbuds provide excellent audio clarity, and stay comfortable in your ear thanks to the unique shape that fits comfortably for hours. They are sweatproof and designed to keep up with your active lifestyle. Get ready to enjoy a seamless listening experience with Pro Fit Earbuds — perfect for any workout or adventure!”
Likewise, you can create so many short-form content pieces with great speed.
I already showed how to use short-form content such as a product description or an email. However, you have to spend some time understanding how to use WordHero’s long-form content editor.
Let me give you a step-by-step demo to help you understand the process:
Now, to create long-form content like a blog post, you have to open the “Editor” and work there. Here is what the Editor window looks like:
Let’s say you want to create a blog post: “Top 5 Garden Ideas For 2023”.
The first thing you need is a sound outline. So, all you need to do is select “Blog Outline” from the list of writing tools. Just click the blue pencil icon and write ‘blog outline’ in the search bar.
Tap the template and insert your blog title. Once you insert the title and hit the magical “Write For Me” button, WordHero will come up with a comprehensive outline.
Here you have the freedom to pick headings you would like to write about. Just click that small button on each heading to take them to the editor.
Our outline is ready. Now let's generate content for each heading.
Wait. WordHero also has a “blog intro” template. Let’s use it to create content for the intro part.
You just need to insert your keywords and tone. WordHero will create two or more versions to choose from. Select one version and take it to the editor section.
Now you can go ahead and have WordHero generate content for each heading. For this you need to take your cursor to the point where the paragraph for a heading starts. And then hit that rocket icon on top.
This is how you keep generating content for each heading in your blog or article or any other long-form of content.
Feel free to test all the writing tools WordHero offers. For example, for blog posts, the following writing tools can be of great help:
Let me show you how you can create the conclusion of your long-form content piece. Just like we added the intro or outlines, follow the same process. Find “Blog Conclusion” from writing tools. Add topic, keyword, and tone, and then hit the “Write For Me” button.
When I just generated content for that blog post about garden ideas 2023, I used various templates; for example, blog intro, blog outline, and blog conclusion.
These templates we used are just the start of the story. WordHero has 75+ templates. Let me give you a really quick intro to some of them:
I just quickly explained most of the templates WordHero offers. Let’s dig a little deep and explore the use cases of key tools:
When it comes to captivating your audience, the AIDA principle is a go-to for copywriters. It stands for Attention, Interest, Desire, and Action, and serves as a framework to create compelling introductions, sales letters, emails, and website copy
For instance, here are the outcomes when I used this formula for protective coveralls.
It basically categorizes your product copy into four parts (AIDA).
As the name suggests, you insert your bullet points and WordHero explains them in seconds. Here is a demo:
WordHero also gives you the freedom to rewrite existing content. Open the “Content Rewriter” template and insert the content you want to rewrite:
You write something or generate a piece of content using artificial intelligence, wordHero allows you to fix grammatical errors.
WordHero’s notable social media templates include :
If you’re a YouTuber or a business owner looking to create stunning titles and descriptions, WordHero can help.
We often get stuck when brainstorming ideas for our video marketing campaigns. Have this tool generate some good ideas for your upcoming videos.
I often use WordHero to help me put together social media post ideas for my clients. It works every time.
Whether you're a product owner seeking to enhance your copy or a reviewer looking to create benefit-focused content effortlessly, this tool is a valuable asset.
Simply provide a concise product description along with a list of its features in bullet points, and the tool will transform them into a captivating sentence that highlights the product's advantages.
I have already demonstrated how you can create awesome product descriptions for your ecommerce business.
We have already seen how we can create blog posts using a combination of tools within WordHero. Again, one thing that we miss in this tool is a one-click content generator. You have to put some effort and time to generate long-form content.
If your website doesn’t have a strong ‘about us’ page, you should use this AI writer to create or improve it. However, I would suggest you edit the AI-generated content to make it more relevant to your brand.
Creating SEO descriptions for your web pages can be a time-consuming process. Let WordHero take care of this task. It’s really good at creating short-form assets like descriptions.
Emails are an inseparable part of any individual working in this digital age. WordHero will help you create those emails on the go.
Creating a copy for ads is a bit tricky. However, with the right input you can get the result you’re looking for. This template basically gives you heading ideas that you can use in your copy.
We discussed templates, tools, and other features. Here are three extra features that are equally amazing:
WordHero’s generator mode is designed to help users generate content quickly. All you need to do is enter some input in the form of keywords. The AI writer will take care of the rest.
Every brand has a different voice. WordHero helps you generate content in a tone that suits your business.
The right use of keywords is critical for marketers and SEO professionals. To properly optimize your AI-generated content, WordHero comes with a new feature called Keyword Assistant.
While writing a blog or article within the editor, you will be able to find the keyword assistant. Tap on that search icon and enter your keywords.
Hit the “Add Keywords” button. Now WordHero will integrate those keywords into the content it generates. I added two keywords and WordHero made sure to use them in its content.
WordHero provides two subscription options, each offering the same features. However, one is a monthly plan priced at $49, and the other is an annual subscription available at $348 (equivalent to saving $20 per month).
No free trial
Unfortunately, WordHero doesn’t offer a free trial.
I like the way WordHero provides robust support to its users. If you have a question or are facing a technical issue, you can go ahead and engage their team via email, live chat, or Facebook group. They usually respond to emails in 2-3 hours if you drop them an email with your concerns or queries.
After all that analysis, I want to answer our primary question. Is WordHero AI worth it?
Should you invest in the tool? Do we have a better alternative?
Here is what I think:
WordHero is surely worth it - Unlimited words, plenty of templates, a user-friendly interface, variety of features.
I think it is an amazing tool for short-term content like descriptions, emails, ad copy, social media posts, and product descriptions.
If you’re a writer, SEO specialist, marketer, or business owner, you should consider adding WordHero to your toolkit. It is going to make your content development work a lot more easier and fun.
I just love their “Explain to a child” feature. Businesses often have to explain complex ideas in simple, easy language.
Having said that, make sure to check out other popular tools like Jasper or Rytr.
One thing is for sure: it is too premature to replace human writers. You can’t rely entirely on WordHero or any other AI writing tool for your content creation needs.
Why? Because it needs your input on every step of the process.
Most importantly, you have to spend some time editing if you really want to make your content look human and interesting.
No, but they should offer a trial to help new users understand the tool before they buy it.
WordHero supports a wide range of languages, including but not limited to English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and many more.
It’s good that they’re trying to accommodate diverse language needs and provide assistance across various linguistic landscapes.
